DD_Crash Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 I have been doing touch and goes in the P-38, and most of the time the landings are not too bad. Occasionally I get the nose-wheel bounce and I cant see any real difference in my approach speed (about 130mph) or rate of descent. Any tips?
Bremspropeller Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 That's what the POH says. The elevator in-game is a bit wimpy and you'll run out of authority before you can really stall the airplane.
Confused_2018 Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Wonder how different the game P-38 is to this? Fly the P-38 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_DqFAbtrps

POH says nothing about recommended elevator trim but, for in-game purposes, resetting to 0% on approach seems to be helpful. I do it for most planes when on approach - unless there's some RL documentation for a specific plane that has a different trim setting for landing procedure.
DD_Crash Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 Thanks for that info, I think I was slightly nose down as the plane landed which caused the nose wheel to bounce up.
