Tank, Plane and Train lights on-off settings

For The Dark Hours and Showtime:

I think for Ai planes the onboard landing and navigation lights are automatically switched on, and off after take off.

Is there a way to set navigation lights on during a complete (Ai) night flight?

And how do you switch on lights on a Ai (Linked entry) train loc?

 

As for tanks: i got a column if tanks and vehicles which seem to always switch on lights automatically in Autopilot mode.

But a column of Ai tanks and vehicles always seem to have their lights on. Is after dark ...  there a controlled way to turn them on and off?

I think i saw tanks turning them off, only once, when a german plane comes near automatically, must be wrong there ...
