Burdokva Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Apologies if this has already been discussed but I did a quick search and couldn't find a thread. Today I started a new Battle of Rheine Career just to check out the new videos that were recently added. I am not a fan of those in Battle of Stalingrad/Moscow, which are the two expansions I've flown in the most, and I wondered what the team might have come up with. Imagine my utter and pleasant surprise when the video looked like an actual brief documentary about the strategic situation in September 1944! Honestly, it reminded my of the "feeling" I've had visiting some war museums such as Churchill's War Room and the Bastogne Memorial. Then I remembered I had never started a Kuban campaign, so I tried that too - again, a semi-documentary video! The more realistic and minimalistic videos over a strategic map are a vast improvement compared to the somewhat over-the-top and game-y shorts in BoS and BoM. Hopefully, this same style remains for Battle of Normandy and, if they're not too expensive, I'd love to see BoS/BoM videos redone one day. I know they're nothing essential, just adds a bit more to the experience. Wondered what everyone else's thoughts on this are? 3
LLv24_SukkaVR Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 I find the BoS/BoM videos more entertaining, but BoK/BoBP videos more informative. Personally i find the first ones better, since i already know how these battles went on IRL. 2
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 5, 2020 1CGS Posted September 5, 2020 @Burdokva, glad you like them! I helped out in the creation of those Bodenplatte videos by putting together some storyboards for each chapter. The end result looks really good. ?? 3
