Kilogramme Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Hello everybody ! Running IL2 on steam platform, having Moscow extension. Very new PC, W10, everything runs smooth at max graphics. I'm a happy one (since the very beginning of ROF, in fact) I recently bought (for a few couple of $) the scripted campaign "ten days of Europe". Because, till now, I only fly the 109 F-version. Unfortunately, despite beeing connected via my IL2 login, having connected both Steam and IL2, this particular campaign is still "to buy" in my game options. I tried a lot of things but now, I'm out of ideas. Key properly activated... Any info hardly welcomed THX

Kilogramme Posted September 4, 2020 Author Posted September 4, 2020 IL2 "BOS" and "Moscow" from Steam, scripted from IL2 website.
YorkshireBen Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 I'm having the same issue. Bought all main battles through Steam but bought the scripted campaigns from IL2 website just yesterday because of the offer. They all show as activated in my profile but in game they are locked out. Also, can't link Steam to IL2 - using this account which clearly works but at the point of linking it just says that either the email address or password are incorrect. So my guess is that is the problem but where do you go to solve it? I'm seeing references to support not getting back ...
Diana0811Maverik1961 Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Hello, ihave the same problem.I have IL BOS and Bodenplatte bought from steam and scripted campaign Hellhawks..... from IL2 directly. i could not activate the key code from il2 in steam because for steam a foreign code. in my user profile in il2 there is not button for create a steam key code. The IL2 supoort team wrote me back to send them my Steam ID number and a screenshoot of of my steam IL2 BOS main menu. So i did last week and no answer since that date. i requested an answer 2 times since them, but no answer until no. i believe, they have no solution for problem until now.
jollyjack Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 (edited) I don't use steam for GB, but are they located in the right folder? On my PC it's F:\- GAMES\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\Campaigns On your PC it might be in the steamapps common folder as ... Steam\steamapps\common\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\Campaigns Edited September 6, 2020 by jollyjack
YorkshireBen Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Thanks for the suggestion jollyjack, and sorry for the huge delay in getting back - just had a check but the only data in the Campaigns folder appears to be audio in five folders with cryptic names (Spitfire, Lightning, Last Chance, Hawks, Breakpoint). They don't seem to be related to the titles I bought e.g. Fortress on the Volga, Havoc over the Kuban and I do have all the main battles so at a bit of a loss. Wishing I'd never bought through Steam now but that's where I first stumbled across IL2 ... and it's a great sim, just really fancy those scripted storyline campaigns. I think that Maverik1961's story is similar to mine in which case Steam and IL2 accounts just aren't talking properly. To be fair on support, I only lodged the ticket late Thursday so I'll leave for a couple of days and then try contacting them again. I'll post back if I find anything more out.
jollyjack Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 They belong to the factory campaigns that are in the campaigns.gtp file (data folder) i think. Can't you manually put the bought campaigns inside the campaigns folder? That is if you have access to the actual files ... If you have Havoc, ask Gambit, he's the copyright owner f.i. Maybe deleting the updates folder fixes that, or deleting the ctreecache.eng or mtreecache.eng folders. (backup your installation folder first, rename it and run the steam installer again.) PS i have some steam stuff, and wish there was a CloD without steam, steam sucks ... there seem to be workarounds with a steam emulator, but i haven't tried them yet.
YorkshireBen Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Well, I managed to link Steam with IL2 which is a start as I now have my IL2 user name on show rather than Player-6833 or whatever it was. IL2 is showing all campaigns as purchased and active (green but kind of disabled if that makes sense) but the game shows them all as locked still. Going to wait on support and nag them on this but thanks for the suggestions. One part of the problem solved though. ?
Johann262 Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 (edited) I'm having this issue now too. I run IL-2 through Steam, and have bought most extensions and planes through steam; I bought two planes and pre-ordered BON through the IL-2 website. I haven't played the game in a couple months, but when I booted it up it asked me to log in again. Went through that and got logged in, but found the game wouldn't load any missions in my active careers. I went to start a new career to see if I could find anything, and it turns out the game thinks I haven't purchased anything. No extensions (not even BOS), no planes, no scripted campaigns. Guessing I'll have to reach out to support, but hoping there's a quick and easy solution, other than reinstalling everything. Not sure if that would even work. Update: As I was writing this, I used Steam to verify the game files. Said there were 13 missing. When I ran the game again it gave me a different prompt, stating something like "we see you might already have an account." I went through the process of linking my accounts again and now everything is showing as it should: I have access to the things I've purchased. Only odd thing is now there's an FPS counter on the game that I never turned on. Need to find the off switch for that now. Edited September 6, 2020 by Johann262 Issue resolved for now?
E69_Cananas Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Backspace (by default), if i am not wrong.
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted September 7, 2020 1CGS Posted September 7, 2020 I'll repeat myself: Purchases made earlier on the Il-2 sturmovik site should not be displayed in the steam, the same if you bought in the steam add-ons, they will not be displayed on the Il-2 sturmovik store site. Everything you purchased on IL-2 website will be shown only on IL-2 website. Everything you purchased in Steam will be shown only in Steam. In order to have access to all your content you need to launch the game directly from Steam library, if your Steam ID and IL-2 account are linked.
YorkshireBen Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Just getting back to confirm that support are able to sort this and have done so pretty quickly for me so that's a great result and good enough to keep me hooked. Also just to confirm that the advice from -DED-Rapidus doesn't cover the issue I was having but may be true for others still. For clarity - my accounts were linked - with purchases from IL2 only showing on Il2 and those from Steam only showing on Steam - that's fine they were all where they should be, but it is what you can access in game when launched from Steam that I was talking about. None of the scripted campaigns (purchased and visible as active on IL2) were accessible in game ... but they are now so a big thanks to support!! ? End result - it's something that support can fix and they will do it pretty quickly in my opinion. 1
Kilogramme Posted September 8, 2020 Author Posted September 8, 2020 Same for me. I got a quite quick reply from IL2 support and the problem is fixed. The scripted campaign is now fully available. What was the real problem, I will never know... But anyway, thanks a lot to all for the help. Now let's fly ?
