Finkeren Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Gunners might be needing a slight tweak, but what really needs an overhaul is fighter AI. The way the AI (and some players online) line up right behind the bombers and stay there for several seconds is a sure way to get yourself killed, as it was in real life. Historically however, gunners were far from harmless. The armoured windscreen on the Bf 109 became standard for a reason.

You do realize this has no historic context at all in that respect and that is actually almost impossible to simulate..

steppenwolf Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) The gunner's accuracy in RoF is questionable as well. In RoF it's even more strange because when you're piloting a 2 seater they can't seem to hit anything, even when they have a perfect firing position. In this video my gunner fires over two drums, almost always firing ahead of the enemy plane. The enemy AI gunner makes critical hits with two bursts. Sokol1 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 On the other side, when I fly "Peshka" the rear gunners became "CloD" gunners and do almost... nothing... But If I approach ~200 meters from a AI Stuka (average) they flame "Peshka" engine with 2 second burst... Sokol1 1
