FMB "default" commands is a bit confuse, with some commands no assigned and enigmatic names, and have two "External view" (CloD wrong named command, what take ~8 years to be corrected).

Is "Delete" and "Insert" commands, who are listed two times - in "default" commands listed 3 or 4, with different keys assignments, deleting the extras, remain two or each.

Their "tech" name (in internal files) is:

Insert

Insert+

Delete

Delete+

When you use Insert, what by default is set for Ctrl+Left mouse click, the object inserted remain selected.

The same if use Delete, e.g. deleting an waypoint the next is highlighted, what sometimes led to involuntary deletion.

But using Insert+ or Delete+ the added or removed object is not keep selected.

Some commands that don't have keys assigned wort set a key, like;

Play the Mission

Open a Mission

Rotate Object 1º Right and Left

After delete duplicate names* and ad keys for blanks ones, I end with this:

* CloD controls can be duplicated many times, by highlight an click in New, so no risk of delete an original command, only copies can by deleted.

Previous and Next Item in a Category seems have no practical effect.

A useful function is to select a group of static objects, holding down the ALT key and dragging the mouse cursor around these objects.

They will be highlighted in light red and then saved as a template for later use (e.g. in another mission,) by clicking with right mouse button  on the screen to open the options pop-up and select  COPY TO FILE.

When you want to use, select in PAST FROM FILE.

E.g. You set a AA position with FLAK gun, sandbags... so save then as template and latter place in several points. Or save a customized airbase, etc.

Hi All

I am an avid FMB flyer and the hot tip re the Alt key drag "Copy to File " function has really made my life easier.

One question though....

An example: If you have saved an AA position with plenty of detail in a sandbagged position and you copy it to a new mission, once replicated, how do you orientate the collection of objects to suit the new position?

The use of the number pad does not help as it "breaks up" the collection of objects and shifts them up/down/sideways but will not orientate the collection of objects
