You can, but in a "It's CloD! way.?

First need go for turret position before engage the AI Autopilot ("Toggle AI Control").

If engage first you don't have more control of aircraft and so can't switch positions.

After spent turret ammo,  don't go back for pilot position, but go for navigator cockpit first.

This is need because if you "jump" direct for pilot position your "twin brother" remain in turret and AI can't call for enemy planes anymore  - what is relevant only for MP flights; leaving  your "twin" in navigator cockpit don't cause colateral effect, because the only thing that "navigator" do in games is... sleep. ?

In two crew planes, e.g. Bf 110, as there's no navigator cockpit  (despite RL plane have place for navigator), you need use the command "Release Position" (default keys Alt+F2) - again, only relevant for MP flights; what leave you...  as spectator outside the plane.  ?

But pressing the command "Take Control of Selected AI Aircraft" you are back in cockpit. In MP game is more complicated, you need find your plane in host list and join in pilot position.

In bombers are option for use the "Kurssteuerung" - an manually programmable autopilot for navigation and bombing run, but is not good idea use just for "perk" in gunner position.

The ideal is you learn" fly backward", so you can control the gunner and control the plane simultaneous and try can evade from attacks that your MG's don't fend. :hunter:
