Wow, breathtaking...

I used to think that the smoke rendering in IL-2 didn't look very realistic,  but this video has shown me otherwise!

The acrobatics smokes in IL-2 are awful.. they disappear after something like 20 meters and then magically come back as normal and remain. In this video seems like that the smoke doesn't appear right after the airplane but just some a couple of meters behind... And there it stays

I always wanted to fly the Harward. But it is a pretty expencive plane to operate. Norwegian airforce formally offered them for scrap price to flight clubs backin the days. But the clubs would not touch it.
So I looked at this Chinese version and yak. 52 and it got quite a fan base bith in UK and USA.
Sure if I had the economy I would owned one

As they say here in the USA, the CJ6 is the best bang for the buck warbird, you can get a really nice one for $70,000 where a T34 which has about the same performance costs $200,000 or more, and does not have the coolness of the radial engine.

Sure. Radials is cool. Probably easier and cheaper to maintain. But I guess fuel economy is worser

Yes it is worse, not by much.

The 0470 T34 with 230HP about 13 gallons per hr at cruise

Aerobatics about 20 gallons per hr

The CJ6 with the radial about 16 gallons per hrs at cruise.(plus 1 quart of oil, which half goes down the exhaust)

Aerobatics about 22 gallons per hr.

Easier, cheaper to maintain and very cool,  that sound its just amazing, on the other hand, the T34 has the same motor as my Cessna 182, smooth and quiet.

Thank you, i guess considering the fuel  and oil consumption. The radial is still cheaper to own taking maintenance into account.
I really find your information interesting.
Since you fly CJ 6 , I guess you ruined the cessna flights.
I guess it is like driving in a rush hour in a lorry compared with a race car in a race track

Not ruined on the Cessna flights, I do  great backcountry flights with the Cessna 182,image.thumb.png.f10e8f7837467f5af0f6aec433b5012b.png Very fun, feels like a capable SUV, and the CJ6 like a two stroke sport bike.

That looks like fun to me!

The silhouette for some reason reminds me of an He 112 ...... ?
