Hello TF, Great work.

 

I have a question about the AAA and ground units control by players. Is it available in TF 5.0 ?

I also hope to get multi crew in Bf108  to train new pilots. Is it planned in the future ?

Create a mission in Tobruk, place a AA gun, e.g. Bofors.

 

Start the mission - if don't add player plane, in mission menu just click BACK and then FLY;  then right click on screen, select Bofors view, press the key/button for "Take control of selected AI aircraft", F10 for mouse move the gun (is drag an drop), and "Lean to Gunsight" for aim.

 

Multi crew work for DH.82 Tiger Moth, in a MP server, the second pilot joint in the co-pilot position in host list.

For alternate for "student' cockpit use this commands (both in Views)

 

- Take Control of  Selected AI aircraft

-  Next Manned Position" (or Previous Manned Position) - Change Position or Manned Position # don't work.

 

For move back por pilot position, same keys in reverse order. But, don't do this move for pilot at lower altitude, because plane do a barrel roll and may crash, like happens when AI try landing this plane.

 

Try the same procedure for Bf 108, since was promised that this plane will have dual controls.

Is that implemented yet? I've never been able to get into the right-hand seat in single-player.

Thanks for answer but it doesn't seem to work with me.

 

- The selector for plane, vehicle, gun, all    don't appear in the mission menu

- and the 108 has no copilot place like the Tiger-moth

 

is there any kind of doc about that ?

Mission menu don't have "selector" for vehicle,  gun... only for plane (in Quick Missions).

When you are in a mission, right click on screen for see the list of objects of the mission, e.g. Bofors, then choose view that object, and for take control (if allowed) use the command "Take Control...". This is dependent of "Realism" settings, the "Cannot..." section.

 

Bf 108 probable don't have co-pilot controls modeled - despite having been promised for 5.0,  many  things promised for 5, like functional for start-up magneto switches (actually have  just cosmetic function) end not implemented. Tiger Moth dual control work, but has issues, like plane do crazy moves when control is move from frontal cockpit for rear cockpit.

Hello Saladin

 

We had orginally planned to provide much better access to vehicles and ships for the TOBRUK release.

 

However, this was not possible within the time frame and schedule.

 

So the existing access to vehicles and ships has not changed much from BLITZ.

 

We are planning to do a major upgrade... to improve this aspect of the game and to allow players to control columns of vehicles and ships as well as spawning in these elements, but this will need to wait till later... we are hoping this can be done before or shortly after the New Year.
