Reinstall procedure to keep campaigns?

It's becoming clear I have a bad download or corrupted install, my bomb assist is missing and my engine radiator assist isn't working right

 

Whats the procedure to uninstall and reinstall so that I keep my campaigns and skins, do I just copy and save those folders before uninstalling then put them back after a fresh download? Are there any other files I need to save like key settings? Where is the key settings file for my joystick?

I don't know how to backup campaigns but backup input folder for your joystick, throttle, keyboard settings etc, data\graphics\skins folder for skins and also data\graphics\Planes folder if you are using custom normal maps. Swf and career folder should be enough for careers.

I figured it out, campaigns are saved on IL2 server all I lost were my completed missions so I get to play them all again
