Bombing assist no longer works

I've been using it to learn when to release bombs but it's gone, checked many planes...no longer see the icon on the ground

Make sure it is still checked in realism settings.  Make sure the hud (h) and icons are on (i).  Use right control i as that toggles on/off.

First thing I checked and I always play with icons on, the gun aiming assist still works, it makes a dot that show how much lead is needed but the icon on the ground for bombs is gone, I just noticed the rocket aiming assist is gone also

Then u have bombing assist unchecked in realism (separate from aiming assist) or you have to hit right control i to toggle bombing assist on.  (Does not turn on/off aiming assist)

It's checked, I even unchecked and tested just to investigate and checked it again, no joy

Fresh download fixed the issue

Having the same problem. It's correctly selected on Realism, but Bombing Assist is no longer working. The circle to aim bombs and the diamond to aim rockets are no longer visible since the last patch (4.601b). Aim assist (red cross) works correctly. But the circle and the diamond does not appear on any aircraft, scenario or type of mission.
