Camera view keeps changing mid mission in vr

I reckon this would be my 5th time starting this mission in vr and it has happened in other missions as well. For some reason i'll be flying along fine and then all of a sudden i have the camera view looking out along the wing! I am using a hotas and being in  vr i have disabled all head movement and camera controls from settings but it still keeps happening and am frustrated. If i have to start this mission again due to this problem i'll just uninstall it and forget about it.

 

Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Sounds like maybe something got messed up somehow.

What VR headset? Using any Mods?

Should not have to delete anything in there really.

When this happens, are you still able to move your view with the headset or does it become locked?

yep, i can still look around but i cant get back in the cockpit. It generally happens when i turn my head to check my 6. Last night i l thought i'd check out the menu area but as i looked around the menu ended up behind me with no way of getting the proper orientation back without restarting

That sounds like a head tracking problem. I don't have VR but my headtracking does that sometimes when it loses centre. If this happens and I exit the game my headtracking software shows it looking backwards or soemthing, just needs to be recentred. So when this happens, after you exit the game, is the headset still tracking properly, or does the headset think you are 90 degrees to the left or something?
 

What headset are you using btw?

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense actually. I am using a hp reverb which has inside out tracking which isnt the best but in other games all it affects is controller tracking
