NotOnlyforDCS Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Just wanted to write a quick thank you to the developers of this great sim. Coming from DCS it's literally a breath of fresh air, especially in VR. Great modules, great campaign, great graphics, great flight models. Sure, the clickable cockpits are not here but that kind of complexity is not why people play this game. Having great fun just messing about with dynamic and scripted campaigns. So, KUDOS to the developers. Cheers! 6 1 16

And with the built in Career Mode, Scripted Campaigns, and PWCG it has quite a lot to offer for single player action. Be sure and check out PWCG here. I am especially enjoying the cold start and taxi to runway option in PWCG campaign.
dbzero Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I’ve had this since release but only recently got into it. It’s enormously fun. I was chased by a Russian fighter while flying a 190. I shot down the A-20 it was escorting and it chased me all the way back to my base. Didn’t want to 1v1 as the 190 is tricky to fight and I’m still learning it. Once over my airfield the flak took care of the Russian fighter. The dogfights in SP are really fun to be in and replay. VR is really great, but I play in non VR mode even though I have a VR set.
SYN_Vander Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Welcome! And if you just want a "quick" mission check here: 1
216th_Jordan Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Agreed, it is a great and wonderful sim, even with its quirks and shortcomings it might have. Glad you like it! ?

Lusekofte Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I am in the midst on a stream of stupid decisions and mistakes, I am not at all certain if they will be fixed or dwarfed by another stupid mistake 1
BornToBattle Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Greetings and welcome aboard! Interestingly enough, for whatever reason, I’ve always felt in VR the Great Battles series is top notch in my book. I’m guessing with VR it has something to do with the optimization process, or lack thereof. A few buddies of mine feel the same way. Regardless, enjoy the sim. Many, many great things yet to come!
