dburne Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Hey gang, I seem to be settling in on the Yak as my main ride - the radial on the La-5 is cool, but for performance and overall ability I seem to be preferring the Yak. Just curious about the water and oil rads on the Yak, how others manage them? I assume the more I can close them, the better speed I get - but need to keep an eye on temps correct? Are the temp effects modeled yet for the Yak? Just flew a quick mission , closed the water rad down to about 70%, and the oil rad probably most of the way closed, did not get any overheating warnings. I ran the engine at about 2400 rpm. Just curious how others are flying the Yak and how they manage their cem...
AbortedMan Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I don't think proper thermal management is enabled on the yak or the LaGG yet...I can run them at full bore for entire MP rounds.
