Erinyes Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I recently got a VR headset to play Il-2 with, but the game won't actually run on it, instead running the VR two-image display on my main display. SteamVR gives me a warning to plug my headset into the graphics card connected to my primary display, which is weird because my laptop only has one graphics card and one display. I can't seem to make Il-2 appear on my headset at all, even if I have "use VR HMD" checked.

Drum Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 You will first need to have the HMD setup and working before you try entering the game. Load your VR software, if it's an Oculus Rift, use this link to download the Rift setup files: https://www.oculus.com/rift/setup/ Otherwise, download the files for the VR HMD you own (I'm just guessing it's the Rift) so it recognizes your unit.

I do -- I regularly play VR games, including DCS, VTOL VR, Blade And Sorcery. I was able to play VTOL just fine, quit, and still get the same bug running Il-2 immediately after. I have a Vive Cosmos and I was using the Steam VR software -- which was running when I started Il-2
AlexFeuer Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 @Erinyes I have the same issue with my rift cv1 and dk2, both pressent the same issue with IL-2, did you find a solution? I have installed Oculus Software and SteamVR, and played several games running directly from oculus or steam, only IL-2 has this issue. any help is appreciated.
