Sokol1 Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) CloD "Speech" folder has around 1300 voices for each Actor1 and Actor2 for Great Britain. For German are four actors, no clue why, I don't understand anything they say. ? Around 1/4 of samples are simple world, e.g "1" and around 60% phrases e.g. "Mission_accomplished_Excellent_Just_like_the_movies" - that instead say "Good work gentleman, that will look good in my report" are done for the worthless "Training "and "Cliffs of Dover" mini-"campaigns". Are are around ~40 samples "to do", are the index file name with 4kb, but not recorded. Some sounds used in radio commands, like the "blessed" Takeoff denied or permitted, perhaps because they don't work as expected until (TFS) patch 4.5xx, are MIA. Mixing some samples I am able to create a "band-aid" for those missing. I try a online Text2Spech with British accent but don't like the result. The game only play voices of a index list of samples buried in some SFS file, as the above example show, what matter is the sample name, the "Mission_accomp... like_the_movies.ogg", not what was recorded. Some orders don't has the correspondent sound, or their name was not included in the index list, what undermines the already confused "Radio commands". An example, after the command (TAB-7- 3 - Maintain Radio Silence) is used, the console report MIA .ogg. Another example: TAB-7-7 "Ready for take off". Are a index file "Ready_for_takeoff" in Samples folder, but is not played, perhaps when this order was fixed in 4.5xx the sound file index are not included in the code. For this case I put a "band-aid" in the subsequente command needed, the ""Request takeoff" (TAB-7-6), so hear "Request take-off" a squelch and "This is the tower, you are cleared for take-off". I suggest to put a _ in the voice "Attacking now" in Actor1 and Actor2 folder, to disable . Happens that when player order TAB-7-6 "Attack my target", all wingman's respond at the same time, resulting a cacophony, disabling this sample you hear only a mic hiss, and know that they "understood". Are samples like Roger1, 2, 3, 4 that say different things, like "copy", "roger", understood", that if was used will avoid the cacophony. Who is interested, extract the files for Zip for respective Actor 1 and 2, replacing the existent files (just 4kb index) in the folder: .:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\bob\speech\gb\Actor1 .:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\bob\speech\gb\Actor2 Several samples, like numbers used for vectors are incomprehensible. Any voluntary for record new samples for "controller" voice? Would by better if the person has that British "potato in the mouth" accent, ? but what is important is sound clear and comprehensible for non Britons. Most of this samples are numbers, 1. 2... 360... ~around 350. With better - comprehensible sounds for vector, will become viable - and highly recommended, disable the intrusive "voice" Info Window.
