Searchlights over Tobruk - A short video showing them in action

For anyone who wants to fly over Tobruk while Searchlights fill the sky, here is the small mission No.54_Reddog and I created.

Just copy the file into:
MyDocuments\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions\Single

Load the game, go to Single Mission and choose "Searchlights of Tobruk"

The Searchlights test mission was created by No.54_Reddog and I have edited to add flak, a few more aircraft and put the player in a Tomahawk Rtopical variant as the He-111's approach Tobruk.

Please note, this was a test mission to see what the Searchlights look like. There is no end to the mission, the bombers are not attacking the city, it is simply you in an aircraft and with your squadron you can attack the incoming bombers and see what it's like to be amongst them, flak and searchlights in a night sky

I tested it and it's really immersive !

And don't forget by using Ctrl+F2 you can skip to the enemy aircraft and the Alt+F1 puts you in that cockpit (if your settings allow you to change aircraft) of the bombers on the approach

 

Also lots of static camera placed around which can be accessed with Ctrl+F2 ?

Probable because you edited the mission, in Mediafire mission code, the generators links with AI object (powerOn.ccp) is missing.

BTW - Looks like that you use all available AA guns of entire North Africa in this mission. ?
