hades777 Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hi, For some reason unknown to me, i'm having problems updating IL -2 1946 to version 4.07 & above. Never had these problems before - but that was on a XP comp. (and now i'm using Windows 7). Any ideas what the problem could be? Greetings, Milko
Bearcat Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Are you sure the updates are going to the right folder?
352nd_Wheels Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 If you installed it into one of the Program Files folders you will continue to have problems updating it. Move or copy the entire install from the Program Files folder into another folder and you should be able to patch it properly. This post at M4T covers the problem more completely. http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&p=128727#128727 Wheels
Bearcat Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Come to think of it.. Doesn't 1946 install to 4.07? Are you trying to update PF or some earlier version to 1946? That could be your problem.
hades777 Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks for the replies - i already suspected it had something to do with windows 7 (gut fealing) because i never experienced those "upload problems" in XP.
crossfade Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 make sure that the updates are going to the main il2 folder m8
No.42_Wholehawg Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I would echo what Crossfade said, and I am about 99% sure Bearcat is correct. You get 4.07 as the based with 1946. I am on Win7 and don't have any problems running or installing. I did have a problem with my CD and it finally crapped out. GoG.com sells a DL version of 1946 for like 5$ So I bought that just so I don't have to muss with a cd ever again.
crossfade Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) If anyone needs no cd exe let me know and i can send btw i have paid for all il2 series and would pay again happily this exe is just so handy. Edited August 27, 2013 by crossfade
