TWC_WalMart Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 (edited) I have all the BoS games bar circus and Normandy on steam, I just downloaded TC through a launcher but it was standalone and not integrated with my other games, I uninstalled it but dont know how to install it in steam, can anyone help please. I linked my accounts a few months ago when I bought Bodenplatte. Just to add my friend purchased at the same time and his TC appears alongside Bok BoM and the others inside his BoS steam install. [KG]Destaex Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Because Tank Crew is in Alpha\Beta I don't think it is available in your steam version yet. I think it must be played through the stand alone client until release.
TWC_WalMart Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Like I said it appeared almost instantly in my friends BoS install which is installed in steam, mine didnt so I downloaded the launcher.
[KG]Destaex Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Ahhh sorry. I skimmed your post. My bad. I must try this in my steam account. I wonder if your friend purchased all his modules direct and you from steam making the steam link slightly different. In any case I fear I am of little use or help to you on this sorry.
TWC_WalMart Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 I aappreciate you trying to help, we bought our modules all through steam apart from Bodenplatte which we bought from the Il-2 store and thats when we linked our store and steam accounts, I have opened a ticket on the Il-2 site hopefully they can help.
TWC_WalMart Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 No ideas then fellas ? after uninstalling TC last night I tried installing into my steam folder which to a certain extent worked, instead of downloading about 25gb it downloaded about 350mb but is still not integrated, I can either boot up BoS as per normal and play BoS, BoM, BoK and BoB or boot TC and play just TC on the Prokhorovka map only. When I bought BoB about 4 months ago from the Il2 store I did use a different log in to the store to the one I used to buy TC, I had forgot all about it but I have tried logging in with both and the game asked me to link accounts again but TC still wont integrate with my other BoS purchases. so it looks like my fault but surely someone has had a similar problem ?
Goosevich Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) I don't see the reason to add TC manually to steam and f*ck about around it. You should have access to TC when launching any module/base game via steam.... ...but since you use 2 different accounts i'm not suprised lol When I bought BoB about 4 months ago from the Il2 store I did use a different log in to the store to the one I used to buy TC, I had forgot all about it but I have tried logging in with both and the game asked me to link accounts again but TC still wont integrate with my other BoS purchases. so it looks like my fault but surely someone has had a similar problem ? I think I read somewhere on the IL-2 support page that you can move all the games you purchased into one account. It might help if you can get everything under one account.
