Sweetheart's picture on dashboard

A French player asks on the "Check-Six" forums how could he stick a picture of his sweetheart on his dashboard (same has he does in the "Great Battles" series). Is this possible in "Cliffs of Dover"?

Yes, look at the folder

 

Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\DashPics

 

The picture that appear in cockpit - in all, is not possible individualize;  is the picture in the folder

Selected

By default are a black screen in this folder, called  1.tga,

Replace this screen  with the picture you want, keeping the name 1 and extension .TGA, as well the size 256x256 and color in 24 BPP.

Hi Sokol. The guy says he resolved the problem but he also says that his image is in 32 BPP... not 24... could this cause any trouble?

Hi Sokol, my friend thanks you for the tip. Nevertheless, he says it's working on the BLITZ planes only. It's not working on the planes that came with the Tobruk add-on. Bug report? Is a code line missing somewhere?

Yes, give a look in recent JG54_Karaya videos, and in Channel their Bf 109 show dash picture, in Tobruk no.

 

Probable require some update in game code... "to do".

 

Anyway this "dash picture" code require update, should at least allow one per side. For example a remind for target wingspan done for Spit/Hurri make no sense in Bf 109 panel. 

Ideal is per plane, e.g. for engine limits.
