Any fellow pilots recovering from Covid19?

Hi everyone,

 

Unfortunately Covid-19 hit my household.  Both my wife and I are positive. I've had symptoms for six days, my wife for nine.  Fortunately, the cases seem to be mild - in the sense that we have experienced little cough and no diminished O2 saturation at the moment - yet the muscular weakness/pain is terrible, never felt something similar  -   I can barely hold a cup of coffee with one arm  =(

I also COMPLETELY lost my sense of smell and taste.  Pungent smells such as chlorine or Vaporub are non-existent.  And I can only perceive food texture. 

 

We had been following quarantine, working from home, etc.  However we got overconfident and celebrated a family birthday. Now there are 12 confirmed cases in our family.  

Don't make the same mistake,  stay safe!

Also sorry to hear about you and your families issue catching COVID 19. It is quite an insidious disease in how it spreads and is unlikely to go away unless an effective vaccine can be developed. 

 

Hope that you and all your family make a safe and speedy recovery without the lingering side effects that some people experience.

Here in Australia we have gotten off quite lightly, so far, but COVID 19 has got into many of our nursing homes for the elderly with quite devastating results.
