I'll need my own changing room complete with Bolinger and Persian rugs, a makeup department and a bowl of M&M's separated by colour though. Thanks. I can do Persians on rugs. Sold? 1
IckyATLAS Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 I have tested the Voice Reader Product from Linguatec. You have Voice Reader home and Voice Reader Studio. The Voice reader Home is not free but is still acceptable, as you will pay 49 € and you will have one voice. You can then buy additional voices (male, female other languages etc.) at this same price. Voice Reader Studio is expensive and really for professional applications as each language comes at 499€. You can test the voices online. You can have English text spoken with British accent or American but also French, Russian accent as an example. Just choose the voice and type the text to check it. The software allows for additional various parameters.
FlatSpinMan Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 I can help. I’m a New Zealander but have been teaching English for years so can do RP and a couple of others. i also learned quite a lot of RAF slang from researching campaigns ba ju when I used to make them in the old IL2. I also have access to a simple recording studio at work.

Blitzen Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Oh I do hope this works out...The Hell Hawks scripted campaign with all its extra dialog is just the best , but a British one with Typhoons or Spitfires complete with RAF slang would be "positively spiffing.Old Chap!"I can only hope there's a Bertram Wilberforce Wooster in the squadron...?

Thanks - but with this next project, because of the historical reality of the ops being portrayed, we’ll be looking at a much more austere radio/comms environment. Mainly taxi, take off/landing calls with some ambient chatter when closer to England - the odd guy breaking protocol etc...maybe your navigator giving you some pointers. Not sure yet. The comms infrastructure that I have in mind can easily turn into a weeks and weeks and weeks long black hole if I get too ambitious and lose control/don’t stick to a time budget (lessons learned) so we’ll see what shakes out. One thing about the editor - with enough time it will do anything you want. Good thing is that I can start this process now without the map.
TP_Silk Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Feel free to give me a nudge if there's anything I can do to assist.
