Krikhrychrisgibon Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Good morning all, I noticed a strange behavior when manipulating the throttle levers in flight with a Hurricane: The applied throttle value does not correspond to the position of the lever used (Flight throttle quadrant). So I looked at the behavior under option using the Input / Output value displays. If I configure THROTTLE n ° 1 and THROTTLE n°2 I get an output 1.00 for a displayed input of 0.50 while the lever only reaches position 25, so a quarter of the amplitude !!!! On the other hand, if I configure THROTTLE instead of THROTTLE n ° 1, the value of the displays already seem more consistent with a slight amplification which leads to an output at 1.10 when the lever is in the max position at 100. Bug or hidden tweak I haven't seen? For information, I use several Flight throtthe quadrant, so I configured THROTTLE n ° 1, n ° 2 and the same with the propeller pitches and the mixtures in anticipation of the use of twin engines. Everything is OK with the propeller pitch and the mixtures ! If anyone has an explanation, thank you in advance
VO101Tom Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Hi. Can you please check the Axis setting screen, Throttle #1 and #2 line, Is the 100% Position slider 1? All other slider should be 0, but this one should be 1

This output amplification is correct and adjustable in "100% position" slider - that green bars IN (value received from joystick) and OUT (value send for game), that is for allow set a boost zone (110%) in throttle for British planes 100 octanas. Anyway with this adjust I can use Throttle #1 for Hurricane* without issues. 0% position in 0.10 make set ~10% of throttle for planes that require in start-up (like Tiger Moth, Spit/Hurri start with 0-20%) less critical, will give more course for your joystick throttle. 100% position in 0.99 allow that in game 100% of throttle is achieved with ~88% of joy throttle course, so if you set BCO out (ON) can just advance joystick throttle for 100% and have boost (in game 110% throttle ) for 100 octanas planes without need move throttle back and forth, what will be need if you equals IN and OUT, what you can do if want, just play with sliders values. Values set by left sliders is 0 - 100% but a bug in interface show then as 0.00 - 1 (probable a coma in wrong place in code). * But you can set "throttle" for single engines planes and "Throttle 1" and "Throttle 2" in your quadrant for twin engine planes. Set "Throttle" for single engine and use SAVE as and save, e.g. Single Engine. The set "Throttle 1" and Throttle 2" for twin engines and save, e.g. Twin Engines. You can load this settings including after load a mission, or in Air Start. Edited August 12, 2020 by Sokol1
OBT-Mikmak Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Same here with a Saitek X-65F double throttle. My "100% Position slider" = 1. But the problem seems to come from the second physical throttle. Indeed, i get the same problem if i map my second physical throttle to command "THROTTLE"...
Sokol1 Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 (edited) Strange, I have no problem for use "Throttle #1" and "Throttle #2" - other than control throttle 2 with joy twist axes ? Advantage of use two throttles is that make British twins fly less "crab". Edited August 12, 2020 by Sokol1
