Extending flaps question

When flying in the German fighter in the 'Eagles over Tobruk' campaign, is there anywhere in the cockpit to extend the landing flaps? I've mapped a hotkey, but when I press it, it initially displays that it's extending the flaps, but then immediately jumps to neutral when I release the key. It doesn't behave this way in the Hurricane or the Spit. I've never flown a German fighter before, so this may be a user error. ?

Hi TDK1044,

you need to keep pressing it in the 109 until the flaps reaches the desired angle. It represents the wheel on the left side of the seat that needs to be turned to set the flaps.

Look over to the left and see the flap dropping while the wheel os turning. There are black markings on the flaps themselves (on the part that was slotted into the wing) indicating what their angle is.

Press and hold the key to move the wheel to the left of the seat to lower/raise the flaps.

Thanks, both. I knew it was pilot error. ?

Just about the flaps on Tomahawk, how do you know when the flaps are in half way position without looking at the outside view?

doesn't seem to be any indication inside the cockpit at what position the flaps are in
