Doubt anyone cares but your losing me! 

 

I have been a fan of your server for awhile now...at least 3 years.  The tactical aspect is great I have always enjoyed it. Its a real challenge to stay alive and keep your pilot statisitics going and keep your aircraft.

 

I just spent an hour and a half flying around in a spitfire on the Bodenplatte map and didn't see one enemy aircraft, not one in the distance flak shooting, not one message on the in game chat that anyone needs help.....nothing no one said anything about anything...lol. 

 

I think that's a problem! 

 

The action is way too spread out.

 

The warnings that an aircraft are attacking an area come far too late and you end up chasing the action all over the map. There was early warning radar in WW2. Planes did get vectored to wear they saw a raid going to take place they didn't always get told after the fact....

 

How about a little bit earlier warning so we can get in position and actually have some aerial combat on your server!

 

Bodenplatte is just too big to have any fun on it and you can't lone wolf your server the flak is too thick and too accurate to try to attack a position by yourself and you have done that on purpose I get it.  

 

Unfortunately we need a "Squad" based team speak of some type built into the game too many people are on other forms of communication like discord and teamspeak and there just isn't enough coordinated play to have any fun on your server.

 

I know there are other servers that provide instant action and that's not what your server is about but no action or very very little is no fun and that's what this is suppose to be fun...not boring.

 

If I want to fly around and look at scenery I will get Microsoft Flight Sim 2020

 

Please make a few tweeks to your server to make people like me want to stay and fly on it. It is a great concept I do truly enjoy the tactical side but it shouldn't take away from the enjoyment of what we actually play this sim for and that's to have some aerial combat with others players and also a little ground and pound without knowing its a total suicide mission. 

 

Thanks for reading its just my IMO on what I'm experiencing on your server.... a concerned TAW fan!

Do you belong to a squadron? Maybe a bunch of you can attract some enemy more than just the one of you. Do a bombing mission, that usually causes the hornets to wake up. 

Which server is this your talking about by the way?

Haha I didn't notice that I didn't mention which server it was TAW I was talking about...more of a rant really just needed to get it off my chest ...I'm better now lol.

I agree with you absolutely!

This is a big problem with every server, not just TAW

The objectives are spread out all over the large map way out of proportion to the numbers of players who are usually online. Even with a full 84 players they are way too spread out to create any action. 
You can orbit one of these objectives for thirty minutes or longer and see not a single other aircraft. 
This is a combat simulation, not a sightseeing game

This is why I never play on TAW. It turns missions into a player vs AI game. Why go online to play in a game dominated by AI? They steal kills from you when trying to defend targets and make attacking enemy targets pointless. I know they have to do this because of the 24hr nature of the ongoing war to prevent attackers from just destroying all the targets during low attendance hours. But maybe it means the whole TAW formula doesn’t work.

Yeah these messages in MP are rather pointless and futile to try to follow.

Yesterday there was ~600 ppl on steam charts at same time there was ~450 players playing in MP server out of it 3 were 84 slots full (and TAW is not running now so that would probably 4th full) and 3 others with 50~ and few more with less then 10... no problems to fined players for servers with spred out targets...

 

Targets need to be spred so the bombers can have options to decive defenders, especialy now after visability got fixed. (contrary to what SP players think MP is not constant action and mindless DF, most players in SP fast the time to action and have faster time in DF or action then in MP, thats why you notice when they come in MP they are usealy the ones going dirctly to objectives or enemy bases as they think when in MP action need to be imidiate) . I never had problem of figuering what tagets will probably get hit, i usealy have problems of locating contacts i fined safe to attack or before visability got fixed losing them when attack. 

 

Messages are for my taste to reviling and even few min delay tells you story of what is happening. If you pay atention, after some time of playing you can even pick up habits of your enemys, if you pay atantion on whos doing what you can even know where certain players will most likely be  you have abbility to record or look at tack view so you can see alot in this gameand learn if you wont), to know where is big probability of finding enemys or avoidng them and so on.. its also why some play MP, by the looks of it majority likes what big servers have.

 

You vs AI wins war, by AI i mean ground units, so when objectives are to wig war, andnot to have furballs then players will do that, also players like to look at their stats so if you wona get medals or not lose your streaks or airplanes your aoved to have by stats your gona like to not be sean.

 

TAW is not fast food server, and fast food servers are not berloga they need to have food for ground attackers and fighters, what you wont is berloga, and game already have it. Grouping targets together would create nothing more then that and bomber/ground attacker guys would not play on that server even if there is some ground targets to hit below big DF in one or two close place.

 

If your not able to fuiger out from all data your able to have where enemy will most likely be, then your not for fighter cap or hunts and your better off escort bomber guy, you will have big chance to find action. 

 

online human bomber/attacer vs AI wins you something, offline it just advances to the next mission, online bomber guy effects war, offline he effects nothing, so he can play online vs ai and have harder time as there will be intelagent humans looking for him, so he needs to be smarter and confuse them... if targets are all at 1-2 grind few km apart, its no go for them and then that servers dont have players im sure if you look all 50+ servers youll fined what you wont BUT its empty for a reason... bomber guys come to servers when no one is there and then they atract fighter players and so server gets full and popular...

 

Finding enemys is also technick like learning how to DF, you need to improve big time if now even on full servers with fixed visability you have problems.

 

 

Regarding the point of flak, they need to be hard on servers that are team orianted so one lone guy cant destroy them like on fast food servers where you can take fighter clear up flak and target is free to get closed, same would be done on taw if its any easyer. Flak stealing kills ? when intercept bomber before he gets to objective, if bomber is over it its probably to late to protect that target, i can understand that before visability was fixed that was hard, but i would be doing that as you pay atention on what routs they go, sometimes they dont just go starit to objective from thier base, you ask your self what would i do if im bomber and wont to bomb this objective and you then have big chance of finding them, you never just fly mindless you thing , thats how you fined action online, thats why its better then SP... and thats why servers with spred out targets are most popular.

 

I recomned you play as bomber/ground attacker guy for 1-2 months on servers and youll get better at finding them when you go back to fighter or if you dont wont to play anything but fighter, then escort.

I too think that action should be immediate. There are different types of players:

1.  Some just want to have a calm evening of flying after work, with some action sprinkled in.

2.  Some enjoy to discover and learn the mechanics, communication and strategy.

 

As the latter, I don't think I will play MP much longer. In order to learn, you need to actually be in interesting situations, and flying around for an hour is not.

Berloga on the other hand, is so dense that there's no variation, no room for strategies. People just fly in circles most of the time.

 

I can only speculate, on how many other players are unsatisfied like me, but judging by the popularity of War Thunder, a game thats terrible in many ways, perhaps there's a demand for denser maps.
