S! All,

After seeing a few problems with the new CLOD DLC -  Desert Wings...
I decided to do a clean install of the CLOD Blitz and Desert Wings new DLC.
Most of my problems were almost all gone... but one major one is still up when I try to start a quick mission or campaign mission... I select all my settings (planes, map)... and then... I get a black screen... and most of the time... after a specifc time, I get the mission starting or if I do a CTRL+ALT+DELETE, I here it start and then with the cancel, I bring back the mission on my screen?

Could that be a conflict with old files or with another app? If I do an uncheck on steam for the Cloud synchronization, it seem's to be better, but I loose all my settings and i'm not able to load any saved games controls???

Any help on this, would be great!

Just for info: I run with a Nvidia 1080 GTX TI graphic card and 32 Gigs of ram and all of my games run really nicely!

Hi,

Maybe that''s Steam Overlay which is causing problems? As for the settings, like the joystick/key binding, I always use "save as..." and have a separate file.

Did you go to My Documents/1C Softclub and cleared the "cache" folder? That helps, too.

Hi GenMark,

Steam overlay can cause problems with the UI, so try deactivating that by right clicking the game in your steam library and unchecking the overlay option.

Other suggestion would be make sure your video card drivers are up to date, and make sure you are not running any unnecessary programs in the background. Sounds to me like an overlay issue though.

Set the game executable Launcher64 to use Windows 7 compatability. Helps.

Had the same problem, black screen on start mission or after I click "fly", I had to alt-tab a few times to get it to work.

After resetting the bios to stock fixed the problem.

This problem is usually a result of a third party overlay... often Steam, but could be something else.

Also can happen if your in game resolution is different from your desktop resolution.
