norsetto Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 While trying out il2 blitz today, my right toe brake seems to have broken. Since I didn't like these pedals much to start with (saitek pro flight rudder) I wouldn't mind to buy new ones instead of trying to repair them. Is there anything I should consider beside the thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals?
cardboard_killer Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Check this thread out. It talks about the mid-range pedal market, not just the T-Rudder. For the record, I use Crosswinds, but I got them used at a great price. If not, I'd have gone with either the T.Flight or the VKBs: 1
Soarfeat Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hey norsetto, I have found from many years of dabbling with flight sims, that investing in good quality gear is the best way to go from the start. I know , believe me I know that money can be a factor in this journey. If you are looking and wanting rudder pedals with toe brakes I have MFG Crosswind V2 MFG Crosswind Pedals and can say they are wonderful and also the shipping at the time I purchased was extremely fast ( I believe I received my set within 5 days of purchasing , I am in southeast US). With the pandemic this most likely will affect this shipping time a bit. If you don't mind using a button function for brakes I know a lot of folks who really like the VKB pedals https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=vkb-t-rudders-mk-iv . Virpil also makes some great quality pedals Virpil rudder pedals. These are all pretty expensive ( subjective of course based on income level ), however these should last for a very long time with minimal time dealing with repairs and so forth. Cheers, sf 1

I don't expect ever to have to buy new pedals in my lifetime baring some break through in technology I cannot imagine. 2
norsetto Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 OK, MFG seems to be the way, they should restock soon. Now I only have to find a buyer for my last kidney...

Soilworker Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Nobody has mentioned Slaw Device yet, maybe not the best option because of the price, delivery time and the fact you need to mount them but I have a set and they are truly amazing, worth at least mentioning I reckon. 1

Ive been trying to get MFG Crosswinds for some time now. They generally are selling within 4hrs of being restocked say Milan (Owner) until they can catch up with production. My problem is that when ever they restock its 3am here in New Zealand.

Or if not perhaps you can email them and explain your predicament, maybe they'll help you out.

I Talked to Milan and he said they were really behind in production and hopes to catchup with demand in the next couple of months. There is no pre order option but he is looking into it.

Still, there are other options. I would seriously have gotten the vkb pedals for price alone if I hadn't had that great opportunity of local used buy on MFGs. Toe breaks are nice though.
