I used to complain about very dull and mat rendering of the cockpit and tank interior and i played around with the gamma all the time until i figured that HDR was causing that with bright and dark lightning which is unfortunately common in a cockpit under normal circumstances and in the tank it just look like somebody turned on gamma very very high. Switching off helps, but I like that effect for environmental/ exterior lightning purposes,  just in the cockpit it seems not right, at least under bright daylight.

 

I know that software based HDR has limitation compared to a hardware HDR display, but is there EXPLICITLY room for improvement? Like a possibility to tweak the dynamic range curve or to make it somehow, that the cockpit interior is not so much affected?
