No map in Quick mission

Hi, I bought Il2 an hour ago on Steam. First I had an issue when changing the resolution, the screen did not scale properly.

Had to google that I had to make some changes to the IL2 exe to get that working properly.

 

When I got that working, I chose Quick mission. But there is no map, the whole area is grey so I can't start.

 

Can anybody help me with this before I'm forced to refund it? I really want to get in to the whole IL2 experience but so far it hasn't really been a smooth start :-/

Oh never mind.. when I started IL2 for the third time I got a message that I needed to combine my Steam account with my IL2 account, after that everything worked.

Still no idea what went on here exactly
