Semor76 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Feel like a blody noob here, I can´t get the Wellington´s engines to run. Even if follow the Flashcard word by word. Any tips or a short "how to video" ?
1PL-Lucas-1Esk Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) 1. Turn the fuel cocks 1 and 2. They are located on the left side of the cockpit, close to the engine levers, just left of the pilot's seat. 2. Turn the magnetos on. there are four switches on the left side of the instruments panel. Move the yoke, because they are "hidden" by it. 3. Select engine 1. Apply throttle to something like 5-10%. With more throttle applied, the engine will not start. Press "i" to start engine 1. 4. Once engine 1 is running, select engine 2 and press "i" to start it. 5. Select "both engines" or "all engines" (forgot the command) and you are good to go! 6. Open the cowl flaps! - map the "select engine 1" command - mine is "shift + 1" - map the "select engine 2" command - mine is "shift + 2" - map the "select all engines" - mine is "shift + ~" Edited August 8, 2020 by 1PL-Lucas-1Esk

Some planes have a very strict marge for engine start of not, like you say, but others like Spitfire, hurricane start with throttle closed or open up to ~29%, in fact more, but in this case plane shack a lot. Suggestion, add a new Info Window, add Engine Info for this window and set for Digital, select don't size, color like want, move for under the existing engine sliders. Or just customize engine sliders window - that is Engine Info in analog mode; for digital. I like more of sliders so have two windows with both information, for planes that require 10% of throttle. 1
