Gruber-H Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Hello everyone, Does anyone know the difference between the new SMAA Anti-aliasing sub-modes? Theyre adjustable for quality (low-ultra) and by type (color/tone...I think), what does the latter mean? Thanks
Rei-sen Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I would also like to know which anti-aliasing settings should I choose for the maximum graphics quality.
vonGraf Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) From what I read in the changelog or forum it's SMAA (morphological aa) in 'color' mode and 'ultra'. But I still have AA related issues with my Radeon Vega 64 and the latest drivers. Edited August 8, 2020 by vonGraf
jollyjack Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 You probably saw this page? https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-012 i had an old R370 OC 2GB before my switch to NVDIA, and found settings that really improved IL2 and CLoD performance. Ask around on the GameGuru forum? https://forum.game-guru.com/ 1

Yeah, thanks for the tip/reminder I tried an older driver too some time ago but got strange artefacts, like white dots in the air. But it was the time when we got the deferred shader updates/patches for BoX. This time it's all good, and I could get a much better picture of the distant landscape when using 19.12.1. At least in BoX and on the channel map of CloD the aa is better now. 9 hours ago, jollyjack said: You probably saw this page? https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-012 i had an old R370 OC 2GB before my switch to NVDIA, and found settings that really improved IL2 and CLoD performance.
