Logitech extreme 3d preset

Hello unfortunately my joystick isn't registering any controls inputs but on every other sim I own it's fine I'm wondering if anyone has a control ini file for the extreme 3d

In the main IL-2 folder, players can find the "Manuals" folder.

 

In this they can find a pdf entitled "Getting Started and Troubleshooting Guide".

 

We recommend all new players have a look through this.

 

It can save time and provide answers to many questions.

I did do that it didn't answer my question of why the game doesn't come with a preset

The game don't came with joystick "preset" (like War Thunder), despite came with main axes and some controls assigned for a unidentified  joystick,  this is in a old format no more supported:

 

 

Copied from 5.0 ConfUser.ini default assignments:

 

[HotKey pilotMove]
Joystick1+AXE_Z=1rudder

 

After Blitz (4.50) joystick name reflect atual controller brand and name and receive a unique ID number,

this feature prevents "preset" because for each player this number may varies.

Don't worry about those names and codes, is just for explain the situation.

 

So in game main page go to Options, then Controls.

 

Select AXES tab and AIRCRAFT

 

Now select a comamnd , e.g. Aileron and in the box that open move your 3#D PRO left , right.

 

Do the same with  Elevator, Rudder and Throttle, hit APPLY.

 

Open Controls again and in KEY tab select AIRCRAFT and assign buttons for things like 

 

Fire guns (Machine guns)

Fire guns (Cannons)

etc.

 

After all done  hit Apply, select some Quick Mission and test.

 

This video show how assign, joystick name is in old name format but this is irrelevant.
