[Tobruk] Some things are not working yet (solved)

Hello TeamFusion,

awesome game so far, I could try it out yesterday evening.

Thanks TeamFusion for your work :)

At the moment I noticed some things which should work at least and aren't working at the moment, and some things are not working as intended I guess.

Or I make some failure somewhere or I forget something, but I dont think so really.

The stuff below, is so far the things I noticed.

Note:

Hotkeys are set, touchable instrument panel is there - so on either way it should work

1.)

Ju87

Water radiators

I can not open them on both ways, it jumps always to the middle back (the HUD indicator on the left bottom screen)

Bomb switch is not working on both ways, I can only throw them all or not

2.)

CR42

Water radiator

The same problem as with the Ju87

3.)

Bf108 (the neat little transport plane)

Gear

I tried it out to land in a solo free flight and neither "G" as hotkey is working, nor the touch function on the thing with the mouse.

Maybe I have overseen here something?

Sidenotes:

a)

The armor plate behind the pilots seat in all 109 E7's and some of the F2's I tried out - make it please optional, you can not see anything there.

b)

Some of the Airfields could use some more detailed stuff around, not to speak about the air-strip ground. It is barely visible.

For example, in free flight on region Derna, coming over the coast, the map tells me there is an AF - but I can not see it.

Questions:

In the german language game version, maybe there is a translation miss-switched.

In the MC.202 VII the "air-filter" (the red button stick on the left side), I think it was "chituso" and "aperto"?

Anyway, if I bring it for example on "aperto" the game tech-HUD says me in german litterally (translated): "Luft-Filter: schließen" what means air-filter closing.

But "aperto" means open it up?

I brought this red button air-filter stick forward, to the instrument panel, started engine, strarted to take off and could fly.

Is this supposed like that?

The radiators on the Stuka and CR.42 you have to map to buttons, I dont think an axis works properly for them. Also the CR.42 has an aircooled radial, no water to be found.

The gear on the Bf108 as well as the Martlet was deployed manually via a winch in the cockpit, they were not hydraulically or electrically operated as on most other aircraft in CloD. You have to bind keys to "Manually raise/lower gear" to be able to operate them. Or alternatively you just interact with the respective handle inside the cockpit.

The inverted air filter lever on the C.202 is a known bug. You have to go by what the tech chat says for now.

The radiators are on my keyboard, I dont use the joystick for that.

I tried out the Ju87 water radiator on the keyboard button and on the instrument panel with no success.

The manual for the CR.42 says water radiator "Öl- und Wasserkühler".

If its something different, how is it called than in the setup?

Thanks for the advices so far, I think "Manually raise/lower gear" was the thing for the 108.

Which manual for the CR.42? As said it has an aircooled radial.

In 5.0 the water radiator key commands are used to control the outlet shutters of the engine.

Using the radiator commands mapped to keys works fine for me.

Hmm...I use the german language in game and read the german delivered manual.pdf - Wasserkühler

Hope I will find outlets in the setup/keyboard mapping.

Still the also the Ju87 water radiator is not working :(

Just tried it, Ju87 radiator works perfectly fine. There is no percentage shown for how open or closed it is, you need to look at the gauge.

In CloD, when a command have  electric control, the slider in Engine Info Windows reflect this operation, only indicates if you press Open or Close button (or momentary toggle switch in some planes), not how many of the radiator you open.

Why the slider in engine Info Window will be always in middle position, or if you enable digital Info Window is show - - - - or OPEN or CLOSE  message when buttons are pressed.

Oil radiator, for what you can use a joy axes for open, inform how % was open - in picture 100%.

Ju-87 bomb switches operation don't work as IRL, but in a simplified "It's CloD way!" way.

First toggle bombs armed, with master switch (above, left in panel) or with the four individual switches in bomber selector.

The four switches will be operated like was just one, and the the master switch will mirror their operation and vice versa, so follow KISS and use only master switch.

Then select the "bomb bay" (wing racks, called Slot # in HUD), by default the two slots - all bombs available is selected; and all four red lights above arm bomb switches are on.

But by clicking (or use key/button assigned) over the two rotary buttons above red lights on the left side you can select the central bomb rack (Slot #1) - all four red lights goes off.

Or by clicking in the two right rotary switches select the external bombs racks (Slot #2) on wing, red lights goes on and off when bombs fall.

In Blenheim switches have the save erratic behavior.

Got it guys, works fine now :)

I started originally in Cliffs of Dover, than switched over to Great Battles.

Just have to get the other vibe back.

Thank you all for helping

PS:

Last question (for now):

I was able to manualy kick the gear down in the Bf108...unfortunally I did not have seen some instrument/lights for it?

A bit of a guess work when on landing approach.

PPS:

Still I have to try out the CR.42 if the cooler works there.

In the german language game setup, I could not find anything in the controls like "In/outlet's"

Bf 109 108 don't have lights, but a mechanical indicator (a slider like in Blenheim) at right of Landing Gear handle, labeled FLUG and LANDE.

You mean Bf 108, right?

Cause you wrote 109 :scratch_one-s_head:

Has anyone been able to turn on the instrument panel lights in the Ju 88? Secondary illumination turns on ok and lights up the left throttle panel. Primary at 100% the instruments are still dark.

:salute:

Nope, "HUD" say "Secondary Illumination: 100%", but no light, bulbs may was burned. :))

BTW - Night flight in CloD is for masochist's, cockpit's  illumination is poor like in 1965 VW Beetle 6v.

Lol! I once had a 1964 6V Beetle ... windshield wipers had two speeds on it: Normal speed, and slower whenever one switched the headlights on!  Oh, and the horn only did 'klunk' if one was braking - brakelights on ...
