Having trouble using my toe brakes

Just to leet you guys know the hardware: I have Crosswind pedals, warthog hotas+throttle and wheel stand pro 3 pole model without the center stick adapter.

It could be a problem of finding the right chair maybe, but I can't seem to get in a position where I can comfortably use the toe brakes.  Im a pretty big guy with long legs but the pedals seem to be a little far to toe brake easily.  I mean, I can do it, but its a strain and I don't have a lot of control over the amount of pressure Im giving it.

Anyone else run into a similar problem or am I just being dumb?

I am tall with long legs also.

You can adjust the angle on the Crosswind toe brakes to help.

Just remember to re-calibrate with the MFG software after changing the angle.

I also found the toe brakes on the Crosswinds to be stiff at first, but after I got lockable wheels on my chair, and braced the pedals against the wall with bits of plywood, they are very usable now.

Be careful and not place the MFG Pedals where your legs are near straight out in front of you.     I tried it that way and the

toe brakes are  difficult to use.

They are attached to the wheel stand pro.  Im not sure how I can adjust this.  This is what I felt was the problem but could not figure out much of a solution.  Do you have any recommendations?

I have exactly the same setup , Warthog HOTAS, MFG crosswinds and Wheelstand pro.  Initially suffered a similar issue, use of the toe brakes didnt seem comfortable.

I changed the position of the crosswind pedals to splay the pedals outwards at the top (10-20degree angle) simply by undoing the pedal bolts and changing the position of the pedals before retightening.  The second thing I did was raise the chair which is my preferred position for flying. (I lower it for FP Shooters)

On the wheel Stand pro, I moved the pedals closer to the stick, than I originally thought I would want and took care to put the joystick at the right height AFTER I did the above.  Everything has to be work together, no good just changing pedal positions.

Now it all feels natural. Positioning of all your equipment is important to be comfortable using any element of it.

Good advice, Ill give it a shot.  Im pretty clear on splaying the pedal outs.

What I dont understand is when you say that you moved the pedals closer to the stick.  Is there space between the rear of your back plate and the rubber bumpers on the tube in the rear of the stand?

I tinkered with putting a 50% upper end dead zone on the toe breaks. Since I'm normally breaking full when I use the toe breaks, it made sense to lose so much wasted pushing space.

But, in the end, I went back to regular, no dead zone. Just didn't feel right for me.

I had the same problem. Move the peddals 1-2 inches closer and adjust them so when not pressing the toebrakes, they are as vertical as the adjustment allows.

The other option is to also get closer to the peddals and rise the chair, so you are pressing "down" on the toebrakes instead of forward-down
