Camera zoom within cockpit

Is there a way to assign the camera zoom in and out within the cockpit to the mouse wheel rather than hotkeys? I can't see a way to do this. ?

No, camera zoom (FOV+, FOV -) is assigned (besides keys, buttons) for mouse up-down movement (+ mouse center click if are in "Independent mode").

Mouse scroll movement is not used by game engine.

This was asked recently on the Cliffs FB page. Eventually there was several posts by 1 contributor suggesting it could be done. I've not tried it because I don't need to.

What the guy wrote in FB  is not use mouse scroll wheel  for FOV+ and FOV-

Is just use mouse buttons for this two functions:

 

MouseMiddle=fov-
MouseLeft=fov+

 

And , for set this is not need edit ConfUser.ini, but just mouse buttons assign in Controls > Camera.

 

Is need use a trick, mouse left click in assignment window box, then click with desired mouse button (e.g. right mouse button) in the area just assignment window box borders.

 

This is necessary because mouse click inside this box mean selection for assign a key, button, so if you click there again with any mouse button game assume that is selecting the box again. "It's CloD!" peculiarities.
