Inaccessible content after linking steam account

After linking my steam account to the main IL-2 website account I can't access any of my planes in the quick mission generator. For example I would click the tab that says 'Your plane' and scroll down to any allied or axis aircraft, click said aircraft and yet the 'your plane' tab will still say 'none' instead of the plane in question.

 

Furthermore I can't continue my previous career modes as a red bar at the top of the screen states that "At this time your unit uses the aircraft that is unavailable for your account. You can request a transfer to another unit or purchase the required aircraft". That doesn't make sense since I both own the DLC on steam that contains the plane and was playing with the aircraft prior to linking the steam account. Does anyone have any solutions? I've done the whole verify steam files integrity, PC restart, steam reinstallation with no effect.

I've had the same problem after linking my accounts when starting the game via non-steam version. But when starting steam version everything was working. Do you have two il2 installs on your system? (Steam and non-steam version)

Nar I only have the one, the steam installation. All the little expansion labels at the top right near the title show up as well so I'm not sure what's going on.

Thanks for the help guys, I've somehow managed to get the quick mission generator working again, but I'm unable to continue my previous career pilots. Thankfully starting a new career doesn't seem to be affected, so I think I'll just cut my losses and roll with a new plane. I think it was sort of overdue anyway, was getting a little sick of the BF 109 G series
