Tigerfibel

Just learned of this and thought I would share.  German authorities did not want their young Tiger crews to rush into battle without reading the manual first.  So how does one ensure that a 20 something (sometimes not even that) year old man pays attention to the documentation?  They made it funny and more than a little off color.  Bawdy jokes, drawings of semi clad or less women,  etc. in the technical documentation.

There's also a Pantherfibel out there, for those who are interested.

Razor i’d love a link to the panther one in english. I think the tiger one comes in both translated and untranslated versions.

It's far easier to just type into Google Translate whatever it is you are trying to read in English.

The translations are nice.  Some of it is 1940s German slang that google might not do such a great job with.  There are also 80 pages that would have to be translated.

I get a kick out of the attempt to inject bawdy humor into a tanks operational manual.  Not one one would expect from the German military but it works.

I use the 'meal time' technique too when playing the tank driver in Arma3. :)
