Hi pilots

Any of you are fliying right now with Oculus Quest?, what performance makes in general terms while using Il2?

Its a good deal to buy one of this? .

Are better than Oculus CV1?

I have both Rift S and Quest.

While my main go to for PC-VR is the Rift S, I have spent a couple of days just testing it with Quest using the official Oculus Link cable.

Not the charging cable that come with the Quest, but the Link cable Oculus sells separately.

I found the results to be pretty good. Performance was close, but not as good as I get with the Rift S. But certainly acceptable on my system, which is a fairly high spec rig.

Now having said that, I always use my Rift S for IL-2. It is more comfortable to me, and I get great performance with it. The Quest is a bit front heavy.

What is your motivation in choosing Quest over the Rift S? What are your system specs?

Hi dburne.. its because i actually have the CV1 .. but one friend are selling me the Quest. So my main answer is that if is a good deal to get It.. by having already the CV1.

I believe I would wait.

Of course we have the new Reverb G2 coming out in the fall, and strong rumors an updated Quest may be coming out before end of the year.

Of course though if your friend is offering you a really good deal might be hard to pass up.

Just be aware for PC-Games you will need a good cable for the Link connection. The official Oculus Rift Link cable is quite good, however it is like 79 bucks.

Unless of course your friend has one and is including in the deal.
