If you fly in PWCG, you need the 'mission report' files activated, which gives you those files in the data folder. If you don't use PWCG, simply go to your 'startup cfg' file in the 'data' folder, you can open it with 'WordPad', and set the 'mission_text_log' from 1 to 0, then you won't get those files anymore. PatrickAWlson Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 I truly wish there was one log file per mission, but alas, there can be over 100
dburne Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 I use PWCG so have logging set to on. While they do not take up much space wise, I tend to go in about once a week and clean most of them out just to keep things somewhat tidy.

Only the PWCG files, or the files of other missions (career mode, QMB, scripted missions), too? From my understanding it is not an issue, as long as you only fly PWCG missions, but as soon as you fly other missions, too, you'll get a lot of files.

PWCG deletes older mission report text files. Pretty sure it will delete all of them. Been awhile since I have looked at that code. PWCG does wait a couple of days before deleting, so if you fly often there will still be dozens to hundreds at any given time.

Ok thanks, guess it is just appearing to me none are deleted as there are so many.

One long mission can create over 100 text files. I find 60-90 to be about normal. Fly three missions a day and in two days you have around 500 of the things. PWCG also only deletes after an AAR is run, so it's not like there is a background task cleaning things up. If you have not run an AAR the files will stick around.

And with cold start they can be some long missions.
