BrianHicks Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I am anxious to buy, and set up a VR headset for use with Flying Circus. My system specs are this: Intel i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz 16.0GB RAM 64-bit operating system, x64based processor Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 1. I believe my rig will be able to run a VR system. Yes or No? 2. With my current system, what is recommended for great VR experience with Flying Circus?
dburne Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 1: Yes. Would also help if you could overclock that CPU some. 2: Probably Rift S. Not the best in resolution but not bad either, and performance is very decent with it. Easy to setup and go. 1
chiliwili69 Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 If you want it now, Rift-S is in the market or second hand market. It would be an easy test to see if you like VR, Rift-S is the budget option. Then, if you like it, you will save every penny to have a better VR headset. If you can wait to October the Reverb G2 could be also an option to consider. It will be OK for your 2070S. Second hand Index (or even new) with just one base station and no controllers could be also considered, if you are just intererested in flight sims. Take into account that there is always a good second hand market when you upgrade your devide. Sell it and get a better one.
