IL-2 Launcher trying to redownload the game when it's already installed.

Recently a new patch came out so I fired up my launcher to download it. To my surprise however, it started downloading a 21GB file which seems like the whole game. I rechecked and verified my files and I still do have the entire game files yet the launcher acts as if the game hasn't been downloaded yet.

 

EDIT: If this is the actual update size, forgive me. I thought it would be much smaller because it doesn't seem like a lot was added. Still, would like confirmation if this is the actual update size or a bug.

That sounds like the entire game. What version are you up to before doing the update?

Pretty sure I was on 4.006 before.

OK. So you are about 2 updates and several hotfixes behind. But it still should not be 21GB IMO. Not sure what the problem might be.

Found a solution accidentally. Created a new folder inside the IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles, ran the launcher then it updated normally.

 

Found a new problem tho, unfortunately. I cannot click anything in the menu aside from the initial log-in button.

That sounds like its time for support. So it launches the menu and you can move your cursor or can't click? Or does it just hang?

it's alright. Found another solution again lmao. Apparently the software I use for my joystick, Joystick Curves, causes the issue. I just uninstalled it and it's Vjoy Driver and I can play normally now. Weird that IL-2 is incompatible with that.
