Two green FPS numbers?

Recommended Posts

The game's one that was in the top-right corner until a couple of days ago, it's gone and I can't find anywhere to re-enable it.

TIA. :)

Thank you sir, that did it. :)

Possibly a bug from the last update.  Mine disappeared as well.  Quick dive into the key bindings fixed the issue.

[Backspace] toggles them on and off.

So what do you show in the Key Mapping page for Camera Controls?

Hi,

I've turned on FPS counter via Steam and as You can see I have three counters right now. Has anyone encounter that? image.thumb.png.ad91d39fdd626c77ef85173bd4aa406c.png

The ones on the right are from the in-game FPS counter. Top one is FPS, don't recall what the bottom number is. You can turn those off using the backspace key, which is the default. Okay, second number is field of view.

Bottom one is Field of View in degrees.

Thanks. I thought I've managed to broke it somehow ;)

just for the glancer-in-passing:

TOP LEFT is the STEAM fps-counter activated via STEAM
This one is a function and native proprietary feature of STEAM.

TOP RIGHT is the INGAME IL-2 fps counter, triggered if the steam counter is activated (but not always) and responsing to the keybind <<backspace>> on a toggle (always and unrelated if there is a steam fps counter activated or not), which has 2 info-lines (the lower line is the current FoV, the top one the FPS counter).
This one is a function and native proprietary feature of IL-2.

edit: slight change in wording for more unambiguity

Anyone know what the keyboard command is for the onscreen FPS counter? Can't seem to find it anywhere in my documentation.

When in cockpit, hit Shift-Tab to open up the console.

Then type the command:

fps START SHOW

to start the counter, and Shift-Tab to close the console.

Command to stop the counter: fps STOP HIDE

Mind you, these commands are case sensitive

It happens sometimes that the FPS counter activates by itself (seemingly) how to switch it off?

Posted

it'll activate whenever you hit backspace, even if you do so when typing in chat. It is what it is :)

Pressing the Backspace key, two small green numbers, relative to the framerate, appear on the screen at the top right. I'd like to know the exact meaning of each of them. Thank you.

The other is FPS and the other your current FOV.

Oh thanks! I couldn't imagine the second one was FOV! If I don't ask too much, do you know if the FPS is instant or average?

Sorry, not sure about that.

Does anyone know if the FPS counter display can be moved to another location on the screen?  Or... is it possible to change the size and/or color of the counter?

Thx in advance.

Confrim.... just press the backspace key-

I found that annoyance last week and stumbled on the answer and indeed, the backspace key solved the question

Errrr! No! 43" 4K monitor but I never use zoom. Our eyes don't zoom, so it has no bearing to reality.

IRL, pilots often used Binoculars
