Does anyone know if the FPS counter display can be moved to another location on the screen?  Or... is it possible to change the size and/or color of the counter?

Thx in advance.

Well, if you didn't change the default settings in the game, then the Backspace - key should be the toggle button for FPS.

Sometime recently the FPS counter in the top right went from one number to two.

I am guessing the top is actual FPS since it changes constantly.

What does the bottom one represent?

Using VR.

Thanks

The bottom is your FoV. It changes as you zoom in and out

Field of view. Watch the numbers change as you zoom in and out.

Is there a way to disable this FoV number?

Interesting. Im on a O+ only getting about 95. Is that correct? Thought the O+ was more.

l’ve got a CV1 which is 80 so  you’re doing better than me?

Unfortunately no unless you turnoff FPS as well. A complete waste of time for monitor users. Don't know if the VR guys, for whom it was intended, find it useful.

I ignore it. I also ignore the frame rate counter too. For me it’s not FPS that is important but a smooth, judder free performance.

In VR, each eye has a much narrower, overlapping FoV, the outer extents of which are the advertised FoV.

I think the game just shows the per eye FoV.

We, well at least I, do not. You can't look at it and the thing you are trying to spot at the same time since it is situated way up in the upper right corner of the VR 3D space. You actually have to crane your neck up in VR to see it while zoomed.

No, at least not on my end.

No, I too do not find it useful.

It is useful even for monitor users, as you can depending on your monitor size and your distance form screen, calculate the FOV and size of objects as it to be as real as it would be in life.
Of course if you are using a single monitor you will be to much zoomed in, and will surely have to zoom out for better awareness and perception. I welcomed this feature when it was added.

It irritates me.  But in truth, there is no sacrifice I wouldn’t endure to support those VR guys.

Errrr! No! 43" 4K monitor but I never use zoom. Our eyes don't zoom, so it has no bearing to reality.

Because our whining irritates you more? ?

those numbers are simply annoying and serve no purpose.
Tweak settings if the game stutter.

And the zoom thingy,
I do not like using zoom, I use the smallest one for instrument (thank god we got it back)

I believe that the fov indicator was implemented to help with the numerous reports of invisible planes at certain distances particularly when zooming. I know many people don't like the zoom function but it's about all we have if using a monitor, as a 2D monitor cannot  possibly hope to accurately represent the functions of a human eye.

Edit: it would be nice to enable or disable the separate indicators though.

I fly with VR now but are rigging my TrackIr for Tobruk.  You are right. I used zoom much more flying with screen.  I forgot that. I am not at all VR fanatic, so I should have given that remark a bit more thinking

I don't see any purpose of FoV indicator and i hope it will be given option to remove it (uneccessary view obstacle) , separate from fps counter.

Fps indicator however i use frequently to adjust grpahic settings.

I would agree with that, would like to see them togglable separately.

Was intended to everyone, not just VR users, not sure who told you that.

Fine for you to say with your big screen, but I need zoom on my small 17" screen. It is more real for me to be able to see what I really could using zoom than not see anything.

Fair enough. Though only the VR guys appear to be making any use of it. As I don't want it please can I have an option to turn it off - without losing the fps counter at the same time?

Cheers.

True, but marginal, in my experience.

soo i don't know if its just me or something i'm missing, I haven't played in some time now. But when i boot the game up all working fine, But i do see that i have two FPS counters showing, An one of them shows the count moving but the other is locked at 45. When i hit backspace both go away but both come back when i re-hit backspace. hard to describe but is this making any sense? I'm i missing something here? And i am using VR HTC Vive...

It’s both that it’s just you and your missing something. ? The second number is field of view. This was added in an update sometime this summer (iirc) and there have been a fair few threads posted around asking the same question.
