Any way to edit the existing campaigns and make them multiplayer. I cannot find the files?

Are they encrypted or something to prevent hacking? I don't see why they would be.

All i'd want to do is get in their and add some coop tags to tanks.

Save it as a coop mission.... but then I would still be missing the in between campaign pregression stuff I guess.

Yes, they are protected in some way. ?

Perhaps like some older games, the missions are online and downloaded each time. Or hidden in some way.

I seem to remember SH V did that and the community revolted over it.. they reversed that decision.

However I don't mind some protection if it is indeed needed to keep them in business for us to enjoy the product.

Excerpt from the Mission Editor

You can edit a mission that you just played, which is useful if you want to edit the following:

• A mission generated by the IL-2 Sturmovik Quick Mission Builder (QMB)
• An IL-2 Sturmovik built-in single mission or campaign mission

Do the following:

1. In the mission editor, open _gen.mission, which is in your game folder under\data\Missions.

Note: _gen.mission is the latest mission that you played.

2. In the Mission Properties Dialog (pg. 208), specify a new name in the Name field and change the other properties as needed.

3. Save the mission under a new name.

I don't believe that this works for the paid campaigns or built-in single missions. My mistake; I was young and foolish.

Yes, it doesn't seem to work.

I tried, unGTP recently bought one.

You're right, cannot load it in the ME. A reason for me NOT to buy any prefabbed Campaigns, waste of money for me.

Most campaigns i tried and really liked there were always small fry fixable issues (IMO) i'd like to be able to change.

Feels far too much patronizing too ... you paid for it, but it's still not yours. Any consumers organization would shoot it down.

You know it’s an anti-piracy measure, right?

Funny, you just realized this - didn't you know before? What about Windows OS we bought since decades! We paid for it, but it's still not ours.

Did you think about the hard work done by the author? Doesn't this work deserve some kind of protection? If it was that easy to "hack" those
campaigns, imagine how stupid all those would feel who actually bought these?

Maybe you're right about the author .... but always buy the stuff i like LoL. BTW tell the wife to actually buy the ebooks given to her too. Gueas i am an idiot ...

PS as for windows i bought quite a few versions over the years ... bugs and all. Lucky there are so many window experts making handy tools to repair it.
