Steve Hinton has got to be ranked as one of the greatest pilots of all time. Few could claim to have flown so many WWII types.

If and hopefully when, the Great Battles series heads to the Pacific, I hope we get the Bearcat as a premium plane at least. I don’t care that it didn’t see combat in WWII. It’s just such a sleek design as a radial engined airplane. It would be pure joy to fly in this sim.

Very nice.

Saw one at Reno last year...couldn’t believe how hard and fast it climbed after take off.

S!

Read pilots commented on Bearcat that it shot off the carrier like a rocket with very good acceleration and climbed like an homesick angel. Must have been quite a beast.

I guess it depends on your definition of “sort of” ;)

Well the shape of the engine, the wings a little, and the landing gear

Mostly the landing gear though

Great airshow!  It's not often that you see 2 Fw-190s in formation with a Me-110.
