martinlb Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Hi, I'm wondering how much "crossover" there is for using the planes we can purchase. It certainly wouldn't make sense to use a P38 in Flying Circus, but if I were to buy a WW@ plane, where would - and wouldn't - I be able to use it?
No.23_Starling Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 The MP servers usually lockdown ww1 planes so nobody can show up in a 109! On single player quick mission you can do what you like. Shooting down Spitfires in a Dr1 is hilariously good fun. In terms of where you can fly the ww1 birds the J5 Flugpark server is busy on Thursdays and Sunday nights, plus there’s two excellent single player campaigns to enjoy. There’s enough aircraft in the planeset now to enjoy a big variety of roles from artillery spotting to intercept patrols etc. Worth every penny!
Zooropa_Fly Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 All the BoX modules are sold as modules. The only single planes available to buy are 'collector' planes - of which FC has none as of yet ! In MP, the available planes are the ones the mission designer has put in the map. You can fly any MP map as long as you own one of it's planes. When you download your first module you actually download the entire game, with new content being unlocked as you buy it. So the game will let you access an MP map you haven't bought yet - as long as you have one plane on it. If you're looking for some small map ww1 fast action and good practice, 'A Zoo Wings Server' will give you exactly that. There'll be anything between 0-10 players as it is just now - so you can get plenty practice on the bots, plus occasional PvP which is what you'll need to raise your game after a while ! Settings are 'real' except icons are available if you want to use them. For SP you can mix and match any planes / maps you own in Quick Missions. In the Single Missions you are allocated a plane, so you'd have to own that plane to play the mission. You can also play any MP map you've accessed offline. Ask if you want to know how ! (It's more fun then QM's) S!
