Herman Butler, originally of Bellevue, Washington, served as a pilot during World War I and fought in the battle at St. Mihiel, France. After the war, he flew with the U.S.A. School of Aerial Photography at Langley Field. —- I have stripped a bunch of aggravating trackers from these links. Post here or there if you have info.
