Its been great seeing so many new Flying Circus flyers on the servers the past week taking advantage of the summer sale!  Whats even better, has been hearing the enthusiasm of the newer flyers.  Welcome!

Very true.  In amongst all the dissatisfaction with the game expressed around here it's easy to forget how fantastic it must be when you first come to it.

A few years ago I there was a MMO FPS which I played for about 200 hrs.  I wasn't very good at it, but it was fun.  Then I made the mistake of visiting the forums and found out that the game I was enjoying was full of nerfings and biases.  It was never quite the same for me again.

So, whilst I enjoying hanging out here,  joining in discussions and learning stuff, I think that forums can be a double-edged sword for a gaming community.

Bless you Father.

This community isn't toxic and full of generous, helpful people from all round the world. I am sure many will agree.

Couldn’t agree more my friend (and friends). And I’ve been so pleased seeing new players. More sales, 1C!

Salutations,

I just purchased Flying Circus. Although I have little interest in WW1 aircraft, I want to support the developers in their efforts. Watch your six out there.

I would never say "toxic" about this community.

My point was more that if nobody had told me that this or that aeroplane was too slow or not as tough as it "should" be, then I would just be enjoying the sim for what it is.. Because I've read that this or that is borked, then things are slightly tainted.  I'm not saying that people are wrong to question FMs and DMs, just that I envy those who are coming to the sim without knowledge of what's "wrong".

Again, I'm not having a pop at our community, I'm just saying that sometimes going to the forums of games is like pulling aside the curtain, when sometimes it's more enjoyable to just go along with the show.

I' still enjoying WW1 flight after all these years of RoF and before with Richthofen's Skies and Dawn Patrol/Fly Boys and now FC. The enjoyment far outreaches any downside that might exist.

I was a virgin when I first lobbed here, intact and pure. I blame you guys for becoming a tart!

It's a great community full of humour, passion and a deep love of WW1 aviation for many of us. May it long continue and may the newcomers keep coming. So to speak.

Good to see new players for sure.

Best for them to fly D7fs and Pfalzs, as these planes are competitive, easy to fly and don't fall apart.

All are welcome for this Thursday evening's fly-in on Flugpark of course. See you there!

Welcome, and you can fly them belly up too ... With a six upside down that 'll be a nine BTW. (PS i wasn't that good at math in my school days).

Or turn your monitor 180 degrees ... I even tried standing on my head, but i couldn't reach for my joystick alas.

If you don't own it, RoF is on sale too, never regretted buying that. Now if only they'd transfer all those nice planes to FC1, plus the channel map.

Howzabout the Bristol? Heavy armed, fast, bombs, and it is deadly for Pfalzes, D7fs and more with that gunner shooting while standing up ...

Agreed, probably the allied best offence against the D7F and Phalzes and any other thing the Central throw at us. Plus it's easy to fly and has a stinger on it's ass end.
