DrDeath_MD Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 I'm in a Kuban campaign flying a Yak-1. For my first 15 or so missions, I did reasonably well having 10+ kills, my squadron taking down a bunch of bombers, some fighters, and damaging some Stuka's. The enemy depot report showed them as being low on aircraft. My last missions I got lightly injured and had to take a 20 day leave. During that time, the front went from all the way north to the Russians being close to being on the run in the south. Is this due to random factors since I was not flying? Or are the battlelines (front) scripted to move in a historical fashion?
PatrickAWlson Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Time passed. You would have to give me the exact before and after dates. In PWCG the Germans go through the Kuban in mid 1942, taking it, on their way to Stalingrad. After the defeat at Stalingrad the Germans are pushed back, first from Stalingrad and then back through the Kuban.
DrDeath_MD Posted July 4, 2020 Author Posted July 4, 2020 We can get moved to a different theater? I'm now about to start my 27th mission on 1/8/42. When I go to generate a mission, it looks like I'm on the Stalingrad map with my squadron (273rd fighter regimen) having moved to a new base?
PatrickAWlson Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 August 1 sounds about tight for the start of Stalingrad. PWCG will automatically move you to different maps as the wart goes on.
DrDeath_MD Posted July 7, 2020 Author Posted July 7, 2020 Ok so the campaign isn't dynamic but follows history. Got it!
