looking for tutorials threads on how to improve spotting flying objects online .

I have great difficulty in spotting flying objects close to me . I see clearly the explosions as a result of an attack but many times i cannot pinpoint the attacker leaving the target hit though i am right there as close as 2-300mt away from the explosion . Any advice on fine tuning my rig or other would be appreciated .
